COMMONWEALTH of PENNSYLVANIA GUIDANCE REGARDING MORTGAGE OR RENT
If you can’t cover your mortgage payment or rent, contact your lender or Premier Property Management Services immediately. Do not wait until you’re behind on payments. Some lenders may work out an agreement with you to waive late fees, set up a repayment plan or offer loan forbearance.
United Way rental assistance programs
The United Way 211 service can provide emergency or long-term rent assistance to qualified families. The United Way 211 rental assistance programs are extensive. The organization will have details on all sorts of emergency as well as long term financial aid programs, legal resources, grants, charities, eviction prevention services and more.
Customer service staff from the United Way will be able to refer callers to resources near them for paying rent. Help is also available for Landlords that are not receiving rent payments from their tenants. Call 211 (Dial 2-1-1 on your cell phone) for information on United Way rent assistance near you.
